Only 23 Days until the International CES Show in Las Vegas!

With the holidays coming up, it's hard to believe that the International Consumer Electronics Show 2011 is just around the corner!

January 6-9th KJB will be exhibiting in Booth 31958 at CES. We'll be showing off some of our exciting and very successful security and surveillance products, as well as some brand new items that have yet to be released!

If you haven't registered yet to attend CES, you can do so by going to www.cesweb.org and using Invitation Code "INVT" to get FREE Registration - a $200 Value, courtesy of KJB. The last day to use this free registration code is December 15th, so you've only got a couple days left.

Once you register, be sure to come out and visit us in Las Vegas at the show! We look forward to meeting both our current dealers, and potential future dealers as well! See you in Vegas!

Record Breaking Shipping Day at KJB!

Wow! Looks like all of our dealers had great success over the Thanksgiving/Black Friday/Cyber Monday Holiday!

Our shipping department set a company record for most packages shipped in a single day! They worked hard to get all of your orders picked, boxed up, and shipped out!

You probably don't ever get to see or talk to these guys, but our shipping department team works hard every day to pick, pack, and ship out hundreds of packages every day - and yesterday they really went above and beyond!

We look forward to continued great sales and success throughout the rest of 2010 and into 2011. Don't forget to push the Gift and Novelty line of KJB products - these make for great 4th quarter sales!

ISC Solutions 2010 Trade Show Wrap-Up

We met, we greeted, and we shared solutions to all who attended the KJB Security Products booth at this year’s ISC Solutions trade show in New York City. For those of you who attended, we appreciate the time you took to visit our exhibit, and hope that you found our staff to be as friendly in person as we are when you speak with us on the phone. There was a ton of excitement in the air, revolving around some of our hottest new products:  Cell Phone Recon, iRecovery Stick , and the Xtreme Life DVR and Covert hidden cameras systems.

Our most popular new product line in the booth is also one of our most innovative products, the SleuthGear XtremeLife DVR system. Attendees enjoyed the design, the all-in-one recording feature with the 1-Year Battery, and found that they could provide their customers with a product that wasn’t available to them before. I don’t know how many attendees said “I could put that in this” or “Wow, that's something people ask me for all the time”.  This great new product line was a hit!

If you weren't able to attend this trade show, don't worry - we're doing it all over again soon.  Coming up in January we'll be in Las Vegas for the International Consumer Electronics Show, and then will return to Vegas in March for ISC West 2011.  Come see us, our products, and meet the people who fuel the KJB Security Products engine!

XtremeLife Product Line Availability Update

Recently we introduced the SleuthGear Xtreme Life Hidden Camera product line, which feature all-in-one hidden camera systems that can last for an entire year on a single battery charge.  The response has been very exciting, with these items flying off the shelves just as fast as we can build them!

We knew the Xtreme Life cameras were going to be hot sellers, but we had no idea they would be this popular!  Due to this overwhelming demand, we're temporarily out of stock of all 3 of our Xtreme Life items.

We are currently taking orders for all 3 Xtreme Life products, which will be shipped out on a first-come, first-served basis, as soon as we get them back in stock.

Place your order today in order to be one of the first get an Xtreme Life Rock, Electrical Box, or Teddy Bear in your hands when they become available again!

How MAP Pricing Makes YOU Money

As you are probably aware, many products that we manufacture and distribute at KJB have a Minimum Advertised Price (“MAP Price”).  As the name implies, this MAP price is the lowest price that our dealers are able to advertise a particular product for.  For example, the MAP Price on the SleuthGear Recluse is $499, meaning that no matter which one of our dealers an end-user buys this product from, no one is advertising the product lower than $499.

Why do we do this?  For several reasons:

  • To Protect the Integrity of the Brand - In the retail world, especially on the internet, there always exists a “race to the bottom”, in which one retailer undercuts another on price, who then lowers their price, causing other people to lower their price.  This results in the devaluing of the product’s image, despite the fact that the product may be a very high-end item.

  • To Extend the Sales Lifecycle of the Product – The “race to the bottom” in price will also shorten the sales-lifespan of the product.  As the price gets lower and lower, this will allow for cheap knockoffs to enter the market, and for end users to not be able to differentiate between the real thing, and a cheap copy.  For an example of this, simply look at the video pen market.  Where great profits used to exist, there is now a sea of low-quality products all competing for the lowest price, rather than focus on quality.

  • To Guarantee YOU Profits – By guaranteeing that everyone who is selling our MAP priced products doesn’t advertise prices below a certain point, we make sure there is an automatic profit built in to every sale.

  • To Ensure You Don’t Have to Worry about Competing on Price – By selling and adhering to MAP prices, you never have to worry about competing on price.  This is because everyone else selling the product will be selling it for at least the MAP price, so you can focus on other ways to grow your business and improve your customer experience.

At KJB, we constantly monitor and are on the lookout for MAP violations.  We do this so you don't have to worry about making sure everyone is following the rules.  Most of the time these violations are simple pricing mistakes, but  in other cases we have found the violations to be deliberate.  Advertising below MAP prices not only violates your dealer agreement with KJB, but also means less money in your pocket by not selling a product at its true value.  Deliberate and repeated MAP violations can also result in losing your preferred dealer pricing.

We can’t stress enough the important of adhering to MAP pricing, and know that by adhering to these prices, you will increase your profits, and make sure you never have to worry about competing on price.  This way, you can focus on differentiating yourself from your competition, and continue to grow and prosper.
